Some Suggestions

This article is currently at a very good starting point. It contains a lot of information regarding a wide variety of aspects and characteristics of Agelaia vicina, and, with expansion of some sections, it could become a good article. In my opinion, some of these sections could be condensed so that similar sections could be grouped as subsections within an overarching section. For example, originally "diet" and "recruitment to food" were two different sections, and I made them both subsections. I did the same for the "Stings" and "Neurotoxins" section. I also believe that, while this article contains a lot of various information, each individual section could be improved by expanding it slightly. For instance, it wouldn't hurt to add some more information under the sperm morphology section, such as what sperm morphology actually is from a more general standpoint. I would also recommend adding some information regarding the geographical distribution of A. vicina (i.e. where in the world it is primarily found). It also wouldn't hurt to add some more information regarding the broader behavioral aspects of A. vicina. You have plenty of information regarding recruitment to food, but you state that they behave opportunistically. Does this wasp exhibit any altruistic behavior in food recruitment or even in general? Finally, some of the references are not linked to places where one could find the papers you cited, and I would recommend adding links to those sources. I also added some links to various other articles within the article. Overall, this article is currently at a very strong beginning-stage, and I feel that the next step would be to expand some of the sections, especially when it comes to the behavior. Nice job! This entry meets many of the criteria of a good article. It is well-written, verifiable, illustrated by images, and neutral. It is relatively broad in its coverage, but expanding upon certain sections of the entry would be beneficial. The description and identification section specifically can definitely be expanded upon. Including information about what A. vicina looks like and how it can be identified would be helpful. I would also like to see more information about behavior. I made changes to the order of the subsections and changed some titles of sections to better match the outline for Wikipedia pages on Vespidae (created by Joan Strassmann with help from Cassie Vernier and Asa Earnest). In addition, I made some minor changes to the entry, such as adding links to other Wikipedia pages so that this article would no longer be classified as an orphan. One sentence was written in italics but should not have been, so I removed the italics. Overall, I thought the entry was great! The information about neurotoxins was very interesting. In your Description and Identification section I noticed that there is really no actual information on identifying these wasps. While you give a description of what the Queen looks like in comparison to the other wasps in the nest you do not differentiate the looks of A. vicina from other wasps in its genus. I know how difficult it is to find pictures with proper permission so the lack of pictures could be offset by a better description of what the wasp actually looks like. A general description of where they are located along with a map of their geographic location would also help. I took the liberty of finding an article that gave a geological location and adding it to your distribution and habitat section. Peer Review

Overall, I thought this article was incredibly well written! I think the article is young and that more research on the species with time could result in a solid Wikipedia article on Agelaia vicina. Finding research material on this species was difficult and so I understand why developing the existing sections and adding new ones would be difficult and take some time. In terms of changes made, I added the course banner to the talk page and made a couple of minor grammatical changes, specifically in the ‘Colony Cycle,’ ‘Diet,’ and ‘Neurotoxins in A. vicina Venom’ sections. The research done thus far pulls from many sources and seems to be quite thorough. Formatting-wise, I italicized and linked a couple words here and there. In summary, this is a great article-in-progress. I especially enjoyed the writing style as mentioned before.
