Founder's cause of death

From the articles I could find about the death of founder Charles Ragus, it is unusual for the cause of death to be missing when someone passes away at a much younger age than life expectancy and to not mention the cause of death. The proposed language was: "Considering the nutritional nature of AdvoCare products, Ragus died 17 years before average live expectancy for males in the United States due to unreported causes.[citation needed]" If the cause of death was accidental, it would be normal for the company to report that so as to eliminate any speculation. I'm not 100% convinced this has to be added to the article, but the absence of cause of death for the founder of a nutritional company is a potential concern. Argyriou removed this as possibly defamatory, unencylopedic speculation. Please discuss relevancy to this article. Leef5 (talk) 01:11, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

I'd be happy to see something in there which explains the founder's cause of death, as it could be relevant. However, it doesn't appear that the products are claimed to be particularly helpful against things like heart disease or cancer or diabetes (which are the likely causes of a 58-year-old man dying of "natural causes"), so stating that Ragus died younger than would be statistically expected is insinuating that use of AdvoCare products either led to an early death, or failed to prevent an early death, when there's no good reason to believe that's true. Even if a documented cause of death is found, the bit about "17 years before..." should stay out of the article. Pretty much everyone knows that 58 is young for a man in an industralised society to die. Argyriou (talk) 16:38, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
