Just getting started (again) reviewing and editing Wikipedia articles. This is kind of like riding a bike, doesn't take long before you get back in the rhythm.
Used to edit Wikipedia roughly 7 years ago for about a year reliably. However, I do not recall my username and the email address I had then is no longer valid.
Back then, I used to edit mainly MMORPG articles, and even used Mediawiki on our guild's personal website as our own private wiki storehouse. This gave me a lot of experience as an administrator as well.
Currently fascinated by direct sales companies (to include network marketing/MLM) and will be using Category:Direct sales companies, Category:Multi-level marketing, and List of multi-level marketing companies as a baseline by making sure the companies that are listed are consistent across the board, complying with Wikipedia:WikiProject Companies.
Goal is to increase the quality of accuracy of articles. Where articles have been distorted on one side or another towards promotional or derogatory, I will step in and be the voice of neutrality and facts. Just because an article is well-referenced, doesn't mean the way it is written and laid out, isn't biased. There should be a point/counter-point listing positives and negatives about these companies without one side overwhelming the other. I also am a big proponent of consistency amongst articles. At some point, I'd like to see a template that all direct sales/MLM/network marketing articles would adhere by.
On 5/5/11, I official joined the Wikipedia:WikiProject Companies project. I will be focusing on public companies of all types, as well as the aforementioned direct sales/MLM/network marketing companies both public and private.
