Renaming and or changing this page

Should we change the name of this page and alter the text accordingly, seeing as on examination of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889, there were in fact no "administrative" counties in Scotland. The act altered the counties for *all purposes*.
How about "Counties in Scotland 1890 -1975" as a title? Lozleader 08:41, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
Oh, and while we're at it, some of the counties initially had different names. Morayshire was certainly still called Elgin in 1890. Haddingtonshire was renamed West Lothian in 1921. I wonder if anyone has a refernce for the change of names of the others??? Lozleader 08:47, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

Perthshire and Kinross also formed a joint county council under the 1929 Act. I sall try and write a little bit about that this evening. I think we need to resolve the name of the page first...
