I think an inexperienced contributor made some mistakes around Abdullah Khan and Abdullah Khan (disambiguation)

I started the first article about an Abdullah Khan, and I started the disambiguation page Abdullah Khan (disambiguation)

Years later, when an AFD deep-sixed that first article about Abdullah Khan it was changed to a redirect to Afghan captives in Guantanamo.

Another contributor came along, and cut and paste the (extensive) content of Abdullah Khan (disambiguation), put it into Abdullah Khan -- obfuscating its extensive revision history. They then made Abdullah Khan (disambiguation) redirect to Abdullah Khan.

Agreed, Abdullah Khan should not have redirected to Afghan captives in Guantanamo, it should have redirected to Abdullah Khan (disambiguation).

But any choice that erases whatever is at Abdullah Khan fails. It is confusing. It makes readers think there are no articles on any Abdullah Khans, and it may fool a good faith contributor into wasting their time creating an article about someone who already has one.
