Confusing naming

edit

@Tavix, Proofreader, and Tassedethe:
After much confusion I discovered that Abdullah Hussein (writer) is a redirect to the Malaysian novelist, while Abdullah Hussain (writer) is the Pakistani novelist. If the spelling of Hussein/Hussain is interchangeable as implied by this page then this is just confusing. Should each article title include the writer’s nationality, and Abdullah Hussain and both spellings with (writer) suffix redirect to this page?

I suggest to add a Wikipedia:Hatnote in both articles. That way the reader quickly gets to the article he wants to get to without the need to move an article to another article title. wikilinks within en WP (WHat links here) as well as interwiki links to the respective article in other languages should be checked though if they all refer to the correct person. --Proofreader (talk) 12:37, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
