The city and people of Aad edit
Our article on the prophet Hud has a section at Hud (prophet)#Calamity upon ʿĀd.
There are some perhaps recent claims on the web concerning a city and people of Aad mentioned in Islamic writings in connection with the same prophet Hud, and which seem to be about the same city. One is archived at https://web.archive.org/web/20210110190121/https://lifeinsaudiarabia.net/how-allah-vanished-the-people-of-aad-hazrat-hud-a-s-with-a-tornado/ and I note that it seems to be a very recent page, while the other was not yet archived at all until I requested it just now, so maybe even more recent.
Some of this material looks suspect to say the least, the giant skeletons being the most obvious signs of a scam of some sort.
