1. AS-1 not only on Tu-16 but on Tu-4 too.
2. AS-1 is a Air-Surface missile too (otherwise why AS acronym?)

either it is active radar homing with onboard active radar, which does not need another platform for target illumination, or it is semi-active radar homing, which needs an off-board radar for target illumination so that the passive radar seeker of the missile can find the target--Arado (talk) 11:45, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
