Talk:8 mm

• I don't think the phrase "8 mm film, or its replacement Super 8 mm film" is appropriate as Super 8 is hardly a replacement. In fact, many film users prefer regular 8mm as opposed to Super 8mm. Perhaps we can use the phrase, "8mm film, or its successor Super 8mm film". It's an accurate enough statement, as Super 8 was the next generation of 8mm film, though many people believed it to be inferior to regular 8.
