- Well, gee, they're not. You could add them, but you should have a reliable source. That's one of the problems with operations like this, they are (at least contemporaneously) highly classified, so it becomes quite difficult to do so. Lopsided electrons edit
Can someone please explain what lopsided electrons are? It's not a term I'm familiar with.
Also, how are the USAF unit designations arrived at? Were there 6020 previous reconnaissance squadrons and if so what happened to them? PhilUK (talk) 19:17, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
- At the time this unit was active, USAF allotted blocks of numbers to Major Commands to use as needed for units they formed from their resources. The block beginning with 6000 was allotted to Far East Air Forces when the unit was formed. Commands had different systems for numbering their units, but they tended not to duplicate numbers, so there would not have been 6020 reconnaissance squadrons, or even 20 reconnaissance squadrons in FEAF, just 20 lower numbered units of one kind or another. --Lineagegeek (talk) 23:35, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
Questioning time the RF100 were in 6021st. edit
I was assigned to 6021st at Yokota AFB in Dec 1955, the three were there when I arrived. One of my duties was maintenance on the Turbine powered APU’ for the RF100 Slick Chicks. I was later transferred to neighboring Johnson AFB until my tour ended in late November 1957.
- You may be right. The section on the Slick Chicks is not referenced, but Wikipedia prefers reliable sources to support changes. --Lineagegeek (talk) 23:35, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
