Quick review and some suggestions for improvement

edit

Hi, I have just done a quick review on the article and believe that it is currently a Start class article. I feel that it could be improved by addressing the following points:

  • the lead could be expanded up to four paragraphs in order to summarise the entire article;
  • In the Commanders section, dates of tenure could be added;
  • the citations could be formatted using {{cite web}} which would result in a cleaner look;
  • the Background section requires a citation;
  • The ramp up and Alert, Train and Man the Battalion subsections need citations;
  • the Deactivation and the last sentence/paragraph in the Operation Katrina sections need citations;
  • dates need to be consistent in their format, there is currently a mix of about three styles used in the article;
  • be careful using words such as "enemy" as it creates the impression that the encyclopedia is taking sides;
  • please see the Manual of Style as there are a few issues that could be addressed, e.g. dealing with numbers greater than ten (i.e. the MOS would state that they be depicted in numbers, not words),

Anyway, good effort so far. If you were to implement most of these suggestions, I feel that the article would be able to be assessed as a B class article. Thanks for your contribution. If you wish for further feedback, perhaps you might consider putting it up for a peer review. — AustralianRupert (talk) 14:52, 5 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
