5th Place play-off

There is now a Fifth-Place Play-off in the 2023 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship section of the UEFA website. This is the first tournament with that play-off and it has been placed between the semi-finals and final, date and time TBC. Update: The U-19 Women's Championship part of the UEFA website no longer has a 5th place play-off listed for the forthcoming tournament in Belgium in July. The OFC U-19 Women's Championship in progress states that (as per the previous tournament) only the winner will go to the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. My calculation would give OFC 2 spots if the tournament was expanded to 24 teams (UEFA 5, CONMEBOL 4, CONCACAF 4, AFC 4, CAF 4, OFC 2 & host). I've no idea why FIFA dropped the proposal of expanding to 24 teams or maybe that is now delayed until 2026. 195.59.114.72 (talk) 15:29, 23 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
