Change "Incumbent trustee Donna Blackburn was re-elected in 2018 with 66.34% of the vote. She will be seeking re-election." to "Incumbent trustee Donna Blackburn was re-elected in 2018 with 39.9 % of the vote." Add Stephen Blais (Liberal, Orleans) as a provincial politician who has endorsed Mark Sutcliffe for Mayor.

Add Anthony Hope as a candidate for OCDSB Zone 6 as per https://ottawa.ca/en/city-hall/elections/2022-municipal-elections/nominated-candidates-and-registered-third-party#section-422fc807-8497-4f42-81be-05143be505a1 142.114.203.164 (talk) 03:48, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

Edit the line for Shannon Boschy to remove "anti-trans and anti-critical-race-theory activist".
While these allegations seem to be accurate according to Mr. Boschy's statements, no other candidate has any negative attributes associated with them on this page. Alternatively, other candidates' issues could be listed for the sake of balance. 173.71.190.20 (talk) 22:34, 12 July 2022 (UTC)

Incumbent city councillor Catherine Kitts was elected to the seat in a by-election on October 5, 2020, with 54.44 % of the vote after her predecessor, Stephen Blais, was elected as Member of Provincial Parliament for Orléans on February 27, 2020.[80] She will seek re-election. 2607:FEA8:BFDC:3A00:D8DB:525B:C6BF:9310 (talk) 14:59, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
Gregory Guevara (Jreg)
editJreg has (possibly on purpose) created a potential case of WP:CITOGENESIS in his Tweet, in which he responds to an unsourced statement that was in this article at one time. Remember that statements of whether his campaign is a joke or not need to be reliably sourced just like everything else in Wikipedia, and remember that self-sourced statements, including from tweets, are acceptable for statements only concerning the subject itself. MarshallKe (talk) 15:20, 14 August 2022 (UTC)
Jreg caused a scene with some of his supporters at the major mayoral debate, which he was not invited to. I only have his self-published video, and although self-published sources are considered WP:RS for statements about the subject themselves, I suspect WP:NPOV would argue against inclusion of this in the article. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq82g3ORZZI. Supposedly this was also covered by CTV News Ottawa. MarshallKe (talk) 23:28, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

Change the order of candidates in OCDSB Zone 6 to the order shown on the Ottawa Nominations Page. Order was previously in the order of people who entered as shown in citation 22, it appears someone boosted Shannon Boschy to the top. All other list of candidates are in order of date submitted.Keithdsl (talk) 05:46, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
- Not done: The standard election candidate listing on Wikipedia is done in alphabetical order by last name of the candidate, which is already the case here. —CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {C•X}) 06:09, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
- @CX Zoom:, help an ignorant editor out and, please, point me to wherever it says that? In the MOS somewhere maybe? Joe (talk) 03:49, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- @JoePhin: Yep, per MOS:LISTORG:
Although lists may be organized in different ways, they must always be organized. The most basic form of organization is alphabetical or numerical
. Since there hasn't been a election-specific rule for listing, the general rule holds. —CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {C•X}) 05:59, 21 August 2022 (UTC)- Thanks! That's just what I wanted. Joe (talk) 21:51, 21 August 2022 (UTC)

In the section for Ottawa-Carleton District School Board Trustee, Zone 4 - Bay/Kitchissippi, one candidate is missing.
Rasha Alnaqeeb
Their name can be found on the Ottawa City website [1] (if that anchor doesn't work, then expand "Candidates for School Board Trustee - Ottawa-Carleton District School Board" and scroll to Zone 4
Some other discrepancies I noticed from your listing:
Thomas deGroot is a Zone 2 candidate (not Zone 1 as you have listed)
Zone 9: Additional Candidate - Josh Rachlis
Zone 11: Two additional Candidates - Ryan St-Jean - Maher Jebara
Zone 12: Additional Candidate - Cathryne Milburn 174.93.52.16 (talk) 12:43, 22 August 2022 (UTC)

Change ""Build a big wall" around Ottawa and call it the "Ottawall;" separation of the city from the rest of Canada through an "Ottawexit;" enforce the rebranding of international brands and businesses to be "Ottawa-friendly;" make Franglais and Bureacratese the official languages of Ottawa; develop a new currency for use in the city; give all residents of Ottawa a job in the city government; move the mayoral residence atop the Peace Tower." to ""Build a big wall" around Ottawa and call it the "Ottawall;" separation of the city from the rest of Canada through an "Ottawexit;" enforce the rebranding of international brands and businesses to be "Ottawa-friendly;" make Franglais and Bureacratese the official languages of Ottawa; develop a new currency for use in the city; give all residents of Ottawa a job in the city government; move the mayoral residence atop the Peace Tower; forcibly annex other cities with the goal of eventually annexing all of Canada into Ottawa and naming Ottawa the new capitol of Canada." as detailed under the "militarization" section of Guevara's campaign website. GeneralNuisance0 (talk) 19:58, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
- "Forcibly" is not accurate according to the campaign site.
Once fully nationalized, we will happily Ottawannex any willing neighbouring municipalities. If Gatineau wants to be Ottawa, they can be! The end goal is to eventually annex all of Canada, with Ottawa as its new capital.
- The keyword is "willing". MarshallKe (talk) 23:41, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- While "forcibly" could be technically accurate in that the nation of Canada would not consent to giving Gatineau to Ottawa, the word implies that Gatineau will be taken even if Gatineau didn't want it, which is not faithful to the source. MarshallKe (talk) 23:44, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- Are we not already quoting the statement directly? If not, perhaps we should. Joe (talk) 01:49, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
- Done except the word "forcibly" per MarshallKe and corrected "capitol" to "capital" Aaron Liu (talk) 23:13, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
Poll Section
editI added in the new Mainstreet Research poll, but I can't figure out how to update the graph, or add a column for Nour Kadri. If anyone can take care of that, it'd be appreciated OttawaPoliticsGuy (talk) 02:14, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
