Colors edit

The Democratic Party and the People's Party have been assigned the exact same color. That's a problem to make an seat diagram. Maybe we could use the Peopl's party other color from its logo?--Aréat (talk) 02:17, 25 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Aréat: Yes, that would be appropriate; the party doesn't really prefer one colour over the other and if anything the dark blue shade was more prominent during their campaign. Now that the other party using dark blue (Communal Democracy Party) is not in the parliament that would be sensible. --GGT (talk) 00:51, 26 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Election results edit

On the infobox for the election results, the results differ drastically from the results given in the source. Take, for example, the National Unity Party, which is given 1,971,400 votes in the source and only 97,140 votes in the results, or the Democratic Party, which is given 369,239 votes in the source and 36,923 in the results. The percentages thusly do not align with those in the source, though those in the infobox at the top of the page align with the source. This seems to be a transcription error, as some of the digits are merely dropped, but I don't want to assume this, and there may have been a reason for it. If so, it would be greatly appreciated if that reason were shared. AnOpenBook (talk) 23:20, 25 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

@AnOpenBook: I think that was just the result of some disruptive IP editing, which I've now reverted. I understand that the numbers going into the millions don't really make sense given the number of voters, but this is the best way to present this as the Northern Cyprus electoral system is quite complex - essentially all voters get 50 votes which they can distribute to candidates/parties as they wish, but they can also cast as little as 23 votes. --GGT (talk) 00:05, 26 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Makes sense regarding the IP editing, and I completely agree over the apparent mismatch on the votes to turnout, the system leads itself to that. Thanks for the clarification! AnOpenBook (talk) 00:10, 26 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
