Pakistan's Point Of View

Pakistan Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, in a recorded a video message from Germany where he is attending the Munich Security Conference, claimed that India, without investigation, in a knee-jerk reaction, blamed Pakistan for the attack.

Qureshi said Pakistan was ready to fully cooperate with India if it shares evidence.

"If India has any evidence (about involvement of elements in Pakistan in the Pulwama attack), it should share with us. We will investigate with full honesty and see if it was right. And I say with full confidence that we will cooperate. Because we do not want disturbance," he said. Madnaelo (talk) 03:45, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

Later, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, had released a seven minute long video through the official twitter handle of the ruling party. He has denied any involvement of Pakistan in the attack and said that Pakistan will retaliate if it is attacked by India. He mentioned that this is a political stunt by the ruling party in India in the light of upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Khan said it is easy to begin a war but difficult to end it.

I just noted that in last line mentioned that "Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and referring to both the 2019 Pulwama attack and the 2019 Khash–Zahedan suicide bombing, he stated that Iran and India would work together to prevent future attacks.[114]" refer to indian today but as per research on official account of said official person the statement is "India's External Affairs Sushma Swaraj traveled Iran and requested to meet with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, they expressed concern about terrorist attacks in Pulwama and 2019 Khash-Zahidan suicide bombing and emphasized on regional cooperation for combating terrorism" , so kindly update the statement properly. In the early hours of 26th February 2019, the Indian Air Force has led an Air Strike in the areas covering Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and the mainland which including Balakot, Chakhothi and Muzzafarabad. It has been reported that 1,000 Kilograms of explosives were used to target the camps where any number of casualties between 200-300 is expected. The Strike was officially confirmed by a press conference by Foreign Secretary of Indian Government has confirmed the strike targeted to be a considered a non-military action on the terror camps with desire to avoid any attack on civilians. Aftermath The article says On 26 February, twelve Mirage 2000 jets of the Indian Air Force crossed the Line of Control and attacked a terrorist camp. While Indian Air Force crossing the Line of Control is a fact, the attack on terrorist camp is not confirmed. India claims to have bombed a camp but Pakistan denies any attack and says that the bomb was dropped in haste while the Indian jets were chased away by PAF. So the claim that a terrorist camp was attacked should be removed.

Edit request regarding number of deaths in infobox

The infobox shows the no. of deaths as 46(+1) whereas it is 40(+1). Please change it. Justlookingforthemoment (talk) 10:28, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

I think the number of dead increased after a few critically injured died in the hospitals. Justlookingforthemoment are you aware of the increased number or any source stating that ? --DBigXray 10:30, 15 March 2019 (UTC)
"Justlookingforthemoment are you aware of the increased number or any source stating that ?" Nope, I haven't heard of it yet. Can you show me any source, specifically a news article like the Times of India etc. which states that? Justlookingforthemoment (talk) 10:34, 15 March 2019 (UTC)
Done as Justlookingforthemoment requested per this source. No source on the contrary. --DBigXray 12:34, 16 March 2019 (UTC)
@DBigXray Nice, but I think, you hould also mention the source that you mentioned above, as a reference in the infobox, as then it would also verify the information to other readers also. Thanks! Justlookingforthemoment (talk) 13:33, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

Edit request

Change "due to India's rigging of 1987 election..." to "due to India's purported rigging of...". The sources don't prove that India rigged the elections. It's a very debated topic and no way concrete enough to say that "India rigged the election" as a fact. 157.42.98.191 (talk) 14:41, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

"India has blamed Pakistan for the attack. Pakistan condemned the attack and denied any connection to it.[5]" This line should be followed by :

Pakistan has ACCEPTED responsibility of attack as

"Pakistan's Federal Minister Fawad Choudhry, in the National Assembly, says Pulwama was a great achievement under Imran Khan's leadership." - ANI NEWS. This is publicly verifiable through video release of pakistani parliament where he claimed this. 68.194.117.224 (talk) 13:46, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Respectfully, the latest edit of yours to blame pakistan over pulwama attack is injustice based on pure lies. what he meant was that Pulwama was a diplomatic victory of Pakistan over propagandas of India 37.111.128.79 (talk) 02:43, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

Not done for now. Where have you seen that interpretation reported? NedFausa (talk) 02:49, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

"The Indian cricket team paid tribute to the 40 soldiers killed in the Pulwama attack" line should be changed to "The Indian cricket team paid tribute to the 40 soldiers martyred in the Pulwama attack". The "martyred" is correct work for people who died fighting for cause/preserving independence. Also it marks respect/sympathy for fallen soldiers/people among the people/society/country.The word "killed" is general word for people died by natural/man-made disasters. So word "martyred" should be used in this sentence. Shaunjames31 (talk) 00:21, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

Not done: Killed in action is the standardised term used for soldiers dying in the course of action, not only during disasters. – robertsky (talk) 05:23, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
