Talk:2018 in paleontology

Page size edit

This page is currently 503,243 bytes long; that's far too big. I see that some kingdoms already have their own articles; which others can be split off? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 18:48, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Improved navigation to sub-articles edit

At the moment, we have quite a few headings with nothing but links to sections which have been split off to their own articles. Is there some way we could consolidate these into an easily navigated section listing the relevant sub-articles? Turnagra (talk) 05:14, 10 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Too many sections? Too much in general paleontology? edit

Since it's clear this article should be further split, I am appealing to contributors with relevant knowledge in order to assist further splitting the article.

1. Can any of these sections be merged?

2. Can information in the general paleontology and other organisms sections be moved into other (or new) sections?

The largest section which can be split out is only 30,000 bytes, so it would be helpful to make these sections larger before splitting. Onetwothreeip (talk) 08:29, 23 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hey Macrochelys, is it possible to move any content from the miscellaneous sections into other or new sections? Onetwothreeip (talk) 22:31, 8 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
These sections include paleontology-related research that isn't (or at least isn't solely) about one group of organisms, so I don't think moving them to other sections (which are about specific groups of organisms) would be the best solution. I'll check these sections and try to think of a way to at least subdivide them.--Macrochelys (talk) 09:02, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
