Merge with Haitian Presidential Election, November 2016 edit

It seems to me that these two pages should be combined into one page called Haitian Presidential Election, 2015-2016. Anyone agree or disagree? SashiRolls (talk) 10:59, 1 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Disagree. These were two different elections: the 2015 one declared void and a new process began for 2016 (with new registration of candidates and political parties). --Sfs90 (talk) 18:46, 1 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Strongly oppose not the same election. The Haitian presidential election, February 2016 is between 2015 and November 2016 election. --Panam2014 (talk) 18:59, 1 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Also oppose. These were different elections. Number 57 00:51, 2 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

OK. Wondering why the Haitian wikipedia site has Obama on their ht:Prezidan page, and does not have a page for ht:Jovenel Moïse as best I can find. Is there a spelling difference I'm missing? Thanks for your input, and sorry to meddle in that of which I know little. I did find this page though: ht:Elèksyon san frod , se koubouyon san piman. ^^ (An election without fraud is like unseasoned broth) (piment and court bouillon broadly construed). ^^ SashiRolls (talk) 20:56, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

^ Unclear SashiRolls. Apparently, someone was trying to render an example of a "President" of a republic. Given the unclear candidacy in Haiti for over a year, I guess it wouldn't have made sense to have used one of their own (past presidents lol). Yep, Moïse has no page; your spelling was correct. The ht.wikipedia in general appears to be a work in progress. Lol I never knew that was a saying; is this recent? I'll say this about the people of Haiti, most may not have access to education but as worldly matters are concerned, they are far from unintelligent. I also oppose, as these are both separate elections. They did not redo the second round; instead redid the whole thing and Moïse won the majority without the need to go to a second round in this election. Cheers.
