Talk:2012–13 NHL transactions

Leblanc trade/Complimentary AHL deals edit

The official trade through the NHL office is Chicago sending Peter Leblanc to Washington and Washington sending future considerations to Chicago. Mathieu Beaudoin went to Chicago's AHL affiliate in an AHL deal with Washington's AHL affiliate. This AHL deal may be seen as a completion of, or compliment to the NHL deal, such that Chicago may not feel Washington owes them any future considerations, however Beaudoin is still not part of this NHL deal.

This is the same situation for the Nashville/St. Louis that saw Ford go to Nashville and Lajunen to St. Louis. In a separate AHL deal Nashville's AHL affiliate sent Andre Bouvet-Morrissett and Zoltan Hetenyi to St. Louis' affiliate in exchange for future considerations. The future considerations here can be interpreted as the completion of the NHL transaction that saw Ford go to Nashville, but Bouvet-Morrissett and Hetenyi are not recognized in any transaction in the NHL Head Office as neither have an NHL contract. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uncleben85 (talkcontribs) 02:29, 20 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Offer sheet details edit

As it stands, I have not made the offered contract details visible because no where else on this page do we discuss contracts (length or term) in detail, plus removing that column made the table much more visibly appeasing.

Is removing the contract details for the sake of consistency fair? Do we all agree?

Steve Mason/PHI third round pick conflict edit

Something is not right with the reported 3rd for Steve Mason. I believe PHI's 3rd round in 2013 is spoken for in the conditional pick to LA for Gagne. If the Flyers make the playoffs, the 3rd is LAs, otherwise, its the 4th. Flyers also acquired MINs (Powe), but traded it to DAL (Grossmann). TerminalPreppie (talk) 19:19, 3 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
