@Kges1901: Thanks so much for helping with the edits on the 1st Pennsylvania. Just as a bit of background, I realize that timelines aren't the preferred format and that they aren't written in present tense, but because this article was barely even a stub when I started working on revising it, I opted to initially format the first part of the regiment's history (3 months' service) as a timeline with the plan that I would go back in and put it into paragraph form after I had posted additional text with further details about the regiment's service. (I've been researching the Civil War Widows' Pensions for the 1st Pennsylvania for additional data via Fold3, historic newspapers, and other resources about the 1st Pennsylvania while working on redrafts of this article on and off in between doing other things for Milhist and Women in Red.) I've also posted this message to you to your talk page so that we're not accidentally interfering with each other's edits on this article. Again, many thanks for your support.   • @47thPennVols: Thanks for responding. Another comment I have about your article formatting is that references to books should always include page numbers if available (don't know if you have been told this before), so when you have time you should add page numbers to each citation to Bates. Right now I am working down from the other end of the Pennsylvania regiments, so I will not be doing style edits until you are done with the content. Kges1901 (talk) 17:47, 15 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Kges1901: Thanks again for your thoughts. I generally prefer Chicago/Turabian to MLA, but have also had to learn to deal with APA and a variety of quirky "in-house style guides" during my university career. So, I'm fully aware of how to properly cite articles. (One of my academic responsibilities, by the way, involved the coordination of peer review committees and editing monographs, articles for academic journals, etc. for a fairly well-known university; another involved the creation and management of a post-graduate degree program. With respect to my volunteer work for Wikipedia, other articles I've written or edited demonstrate that I do cite appropriately. Again, just as a reminder, you're catching this article in my redraft of what was a very short stub with multiple errors.) On another note, although your most recent post felt patronizing, I'm choosing to assume good faith that you didn't intend for your words to come across in the manner that they did.
