That is ridiculous. The article does exist. They contain the same content. One just hasn't been expanded yet. The user is still getting what they are looking for. I really don't understand why you are so confused about these pages. -DJSasso (talk) 11:48, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

Which has already been explained to you on your talk page. You are opening a huge can of worms, for example: 1950 has multiple tiers, 1951 does not, 1952 is also an olympic tournament, does each have to have multiple articles for there to be linkage from one world championship to the next?18abruce (talk) 01:55, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Readers will be looking for an article about the Championship round of the tournament, not the entire tournament itself. They're not the EXACT same articles. GoodDay (talk) 14:29, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
