It took my a while to figure out how to add pictures but I think the result looks pretty nice!

reference format

edit

Be sure to get your references into proper citation format. The tutorials we used in class can help with this. The template in Edit Source makes it pretty easy, as does the Automatic function in Visual Editor. Aschuet1 (talk) 15:58, 19 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Things to improve on

edit

Format/Genre

some overlap in some sections

Prose sometimes flattering tone awkward prose at times - first segment incorrect use of semi-colon A little repetitive under the pop culture and men and women's fashion. "When all designers had their take" -maybe remove Notability Good sources, delete the 2nd "Why Kurt Cobain was one..." if it's a copy

Verifiability Citation information missing in some sources

What's missing? Could explain last quote in 'Origins' Maybe mention TV and movies that were influential - explain "The Rachel" hair cut origin/why it's called that - is it part of grunge style?

Prose' -origins could use some more information -repetition of info in some sections

what is missing? -opening statement -too much direct quoting -pictures! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anettemgonzalez (talkcontribs) 00:49, 21 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

What remains to be done?

edit

I think more information on fashion designers who made grunge fashion popular back in the 90s and now would be nice to add. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anettemgonzalez (talkcontribs) 05:11, 24 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Another may be to expand on the Fashion from the 1990s, it was difficult to find information that was not from pinterest or an online store.Alyssacm (talk) 12:53, 24 April 2017 (UTC)AlyssacmReply

I would agree with Alyssa that it was difficult to find unbiased, reliable information at times. Marc Jacobs Perry Ellis Fashion Show came up more times than I could count but I was disappointed because I couldn't find an interview that held much content about his inspiration. Also, a lot of resources commented on women's fashion but men's fashion was forgotten. Our article is small, but a great deal of research and discussion went into it. I think this a good launching board for anyone else who shares a passion for 90's grunge fashion. Eespino1 (talk)

1990s Grunge FashionGrunge fashion – There are no other "Grunge fashion" articles and the topic is small enough for a single article to address all periods. "Grunge fashion" is currently a redirect to the Grunge music/subculture article. That main article is over 13k words, so I believe worthwhile for a separate fashion article, in line with Punk fashion. Reidgreg (talk) 21:42, 29 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
