Caption for county table

edit

The style manual at Help:Collapsing recommends that a caption be used whenever a sortable table is made collapsible. I am aiming to make county tables for US presidential elections collapsible minimally for states with more than forty or fifty counties. Collapsibility permits easier reading and a more compact webpage in desktop format. If separated into a full heading it can achieve the same in mobile format.

My attempts to make South Carolina presidential election county tables collapsible have resulted in a number of possible disruptive edits by 2600:1009:b043:7967:8ca7:dabf:ecc0:ea5f, 2600:1009:b10b:9b6:2da7:c49c:1b1c:7aa9, two here and here by 2600:1009:B00F:9366:29BA:ADBE:C533:BD9D to the 1980 election, and one by 2600:1009:b055:ecba:2d6f:1424:efab:f43c to the 2000 election.

I attempted once to discuss the issue with 2600:1009:B00F:9366:29BA:ADBE:C533:BD9D, but there has never been a reply. Luokehao (talk) 08:50, 24 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
