The Army's new 11th Aviation Command will be standing up soon at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and is incorporating the lineage, unit insignia, unit decorations, etc., of the US Army's 11th Aviation history. -- AzureCitizen 18:34, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unit Lineage edit

There appears to be some confusion regarding the correct designation of the unit, from the early 1990s through its inactivation in 2005 in Germany. While it was erroneously referred to as the HHC, 11th Aviation Regiment, the U.S. Army Center of Military History (CMH) confirmed it was HHC, 11th Aviation Group. The lineage of the 11th Aviation Regiment refers to an entirely different unit that was previously the 11th Aviation Battalion, part of the 12th Aviation Group at Wiesbaden Air Base, far from Dolan Barracks in Schwaebisch Hall. Anyone in need of further information on the matter may contact the CMH's Aviation POC at
