Surfactant protein D

Surfactant protein D, also known as SFTPD or SP-D, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the SFTPD gene.[5][6]

InteractionsEdit

Surfactant protein D has been shown to interact with DMBT1,[9][10] and hemagglutinin of influenza A virus.[11] Post-translational modification of SP-D i.e. S-nitrosylation switches its function(https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19007302, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25474372, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21131470).
