Southgate and Wood Green is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament.[1] Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the next general election.[2]
Boundaries edit
Under the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, enacted by the Parliamentary Constituencies Order 2023, the boundaries of the constituency from the next general election, due by January 2025, will be composed of the following:
- The London Borough of Enfield wards of: Arnos Grove; Bowes; Cockfosters; New Southgate; Oakwood; Palmers Green; Southgate.
- The London Borough of Haringey wards of: Bounds Green; Noel Park; White Hart Lane; Woodside.[3]
The constituency will comprise the following areas:[4]
- The majority of the (to be abolished) constituency of Enfield Southgate in the Borough of Enfield.[5]
- Minority part (Wood Green) of the (to be abolished) constituency of Hornsey and Wood Green in the Borough of Haringey.[5]
- The White Hart Lane ward from the constituency of Tottenham in the Borough of Haringey.[5]
