Background and release

edit

Ross released "Single Again" along with the song "Truck Girl" in January 2024.[5] He stated that the song "leans into how timing can sometimes be everything." Ross said he was inspired by a time when "I ran into my high school crush at a bar and wanted to buy her a drink. She let me know she had a boyfriend and I remember saying ‘well let me know if you’re ever single again’."[6] The song was serviced to American country radio in February 2024, and was later serviced to Canadian country radio in the summer of 2024.[7][8] Ross's debut U.S. headlining tour in the late summer and fall of 2024 is named the "Single Again Tour" after the song.[9]

Live performance

edit

In March 2024, he performed parts of "Single Again" and "Trouble" at the 2024 Juno Awards in Halifax, Nova Scotia, which was aired live on CBC.[10]

Music video
