SearchGPT is a prototype search engine developed by OpenAI, it launched on 26 July, 2024. It combines traditional search engine features with generative AI capabilities.[1][2] It aims to give users “fast and timely answers with clear and relevant sources.”[3] According to The Wall Street Journal, SearchGPT is "taking direct aim at Google."[4]
