Sarkash Sindhi (Sindhi سرڪش سنڌي) 1 October 1940[1] - 5 March 2012[1]) was a poet from Sindh, Pakistan.[1]

Early life edit
Sarkash Sindhi was born on 1 October 1940 in Palipota.[2][1] His early education came in his native village. Later his parents moved to Jawabpur.
Career edit
Afterward, he settled in Ratodero and then moved to Larkana. He worked as a primary school teacher[3] and retired from service as a high school teacher.
His birth name was Abdul majeed Chandio.[1]
He fathered Raziya Nayab (a.k.a, Nayab Sarkash Sindh)[1] and the son of religious scholar Maulana Abdullah Chandio,[1] who became a prominent poet of Sindhi language.

He wrote nine books of poetry.[3] His main works are:[4][1]

Personal life edit
He raised two daughters and a son. He died on 5 March 2012[5][1] due to cancer.[6][1]
