A train carrying freight continues its journey on the Trans-Manchurian branch of the Trans-Siberian Railway from Russia across the border into China near Manzhouli in 2009. In 2008, a break of gauge multi-modal transshipment facility was built across the Russian border in Zabaikalsk.
