The people of Kiriath-Jearim take the ark to the house of Abinadab. The Philistines attack the Israelites who have gathered at Mizpah. Samuel appeals to Yahweh, and so the Philistines are decisively beaten. The Israelites then attack Ekron and Gath, freeing the people, and make peace with the Amorites.
