Peter Kolomiets (Hebrew: פיטר קולומיץ, Ukrainian: Пітер Коломієць; born 2 July 1991) is a Ukrainian-Israeli entrepreneur,[3] philanthropist and investor. Since 2022, he is the CEO of JobCannon, a job recruitment company.[4][5][6]

Early life and education edit

From 2011 to 2016, Kolomiets served in the Israel Defense Forces. Commencing as a private in the special forces, he later earned two officer appointments. During the 2014 Gaza War, he assumed oversight of the entire military base, commanding over 60 soldiers. In the final position, he supervised the combat capacity of the entire central district.[7][8]

In 2016–2018, Kolomiets studied at the Open University of Israel with a degree in Business Administration and Management, General.[7]

After Kolomiets' military position, he established various businesses and became an entrepreneur.[1][9]

From June 2019 to September 2022, he was the CBDO and co-founder of IdeaSoft.io,[1][10] an EU-based custom software development company specializing in Blockchain & Fintech.[11][12] In January 2021, it became part of the Ukrainian Sigma Software Group that part of the Swedish holding Danir.[11] Kolomiets acquired the software development company Eventyr.[11] From January 2022 to July 2023, he was the board member of Eventyr.

From July 2019 to September 2022, Kolomiets was the CFO and co-founder Global Ledger, a digital asset tracking company.[13][14] He merged the company with the Swiss holding, Promethiem.[14]

Since 2021, Kolomiets has been a general partner of SID Venture Partners.[1][15]

JobCannon edit

JobCannon was founded by Kolomiets in October 2022. It is a AI-based startup focused in job recruitment.[4][16][17]

In January 2023, JobCannon raised its first $500,000 from venture capital fund White Hill Capital.[16] This round of fundraising took place with the participation of the World Bank.[18]

By the beginning of April 2024, the startup has a team of 51 specialists and more than 500 clients — service IT businesses, tech startups and recruiters.[19] These include Israel's Elad Systems, Dominos, etc. In 2023, JobCannon also absorbed Israeli recruitment agency Digital Hunters and launched six-month training courses for recruiters.[19]

In April 2024, JobCannon bought marketing company Adsme, which was valued at up to $1 million.[19][20] Under the terms of the agreement, JobCannon fully absorbed Adsme. Adsme was founded in 2022 by Ukrainians Viktor Levchenko and Daniil Orlov.[21] Adsme developed a product to predict the effectiveness of advertising on Facebook and Instagram.[19][21]

Philanthropic activities edit

In 2022, Kolomiets provided support to Ukraine during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.[2][22][23] His efforts involved evacuating 2,500 people from Kharkiv, and providing humanitarian aid in that region.
