Pacifica Beauty is an American cosmetics company based in Carpinteria, California.[1][2][3] It was founded in 1996 by Brook Harvey-Taylor and Billy Taylor in Portland, Oregon.[4][5]

Pacifica Beauty was founded in 1996 by Billy Taylor and Brook Harvey-Taylor.[8][9][10] Originally known for its candles and distributed through regional, gift-oriented sales representatives, the company transitioned into the beauty in 2007 with the introduction of spray perfumes.[4][11][12] Utilizing advances in synthetic biology, Harvey-Taylor developed products that incorporate vegan collagen and ceramides, all without animal testing.[6][13]
In March 2009, Pacifica introduced its products in U.S. Sephora stores and, a month later, in C.O. Bigelow.[11]
In 2016, Alliance Consumer Growth acquired a minority stake in Pacifica.[8][6] Two years later, Pacifica started an upcycling program with Preserve.[14]
In 2022, Brentwood Associates invested in the company, leading to the appointment of Nathalie Kristo as CEO and the transition of Harvey-Taylor to the role of company president.[6][15][16] In the same year, Pacifica expanded its presence to Canada and initiated partnerships with Cult Beauty and Douglas.[6]

Among Pacifica's products are the Glow Baby franchise, Seek Balance, Glow Greens, Wake Up Beautiful, Slay All Day, and Stellar Gaze Mascara.[17][6]
In 2019, Pacifica introduced supplements to its product range.[17] During COVID-19, Pacifica introduced reusable masks.[6] In 2021, Pacifica added gummies to its product line.[18]
