Oothu[3] near Manjolai is a neighbourhood and hill area in Tirunelveli of Tamil Nadu state in the peninsular India. Oothu is one of the viewpoints of Upper Kodaiyar hill station.[4][5]

editOothu is one of the areas that was affected by December 2023 floods.[6] It is also one of the rainfall recording areas by Meteorological department.[7][8]
