Muhammad Riaz Shahid is a Pakistani politician who was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab from 10 October 2002 to till 3 November 2007. Previously he served as Mayor of Faisalabad during 1979 and 1982.[1]

Shahid was born on 15 May 1942 in Hoshiarpur, India to father Ch Barkat Ali.[2][3]
Mayor of Faisalabad
editOn 31 December 1972, he appointed as 1st Mayor of Faisalabad by Haji Muhammad Yaseen but unfortunately in 1976 he resigned from post. In 1980 he elected again as mayor of Faisalabad.[1][2]
Political Career
editShahid was elected in Provincial Assembly of Punjab from PP-66 as a candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians he received 19,895 votes and defeat Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan received 17,779 votes.[1][2]
