Harlem Line service

edit

@AirportExpert: @Epicgenius: What is the current status of Harlem Line service? A blocked IP was removing invocations of Southeast station, is the current timetable on mta.info correct or outdated? Cards84664 02:03, 8 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Cards84664, as far as I know, the situation is the same as stated in the article: It is the terminus of the Harlem Line electrified service, and with the exception of rush hour service and a roundtrip on weekends, passengers heading to stations further north to Wassaic have to transfer here to diesel powered service. The current service is as of August 2021, so it's not a pre-covid schedule. The timetable confirms that non-rush-hour trains from Wassaic to Southeast are connecting diesel services, rather than a direct train from Wassaic to GCT. I don't know why the IP user did that. Maybe @Kew Gardens 613 knows a bit more about the situation. – Epicgenius (talk) 03:16, 8 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Cards84664, Harlem Line service runs between Grand Central Terminal and Wassaic station on a daily basis, however electrification ends at Southeast station. Southeast has been the terminus for electrification throughout COVID, as it is a very busy station that serves as a direct line into NYC for Putnam County and Northern Fairfield County in Connecticut. There are direct trains that run from Wassaic to Grand Central during peak hours (without the required transfer in Southeast), but the majority of Harlem Line trains terminate in Southeast. I'm not sure why the IP user changed this, but I hope this clarifies things.--AirportExpert (talk) 20:10, 8 December 2021 (UTC)AirportExpertReply

@Epicgenius:, asking on behalf of @Gayandghoulish:, are the hex codes we use from MTA's website? Cards84664 21:14, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Cards84664, yeah, pretty much. Unfortunately I can't find the original link right now, but 6sqft has screenshots of these color codes on the MTA's website. – Epicgenius (talk) 21:19, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
