Michael James Feutrill SC is a judge of the Federal Court of Australia. Michael Feutrill was born in Western Australia and attended Guildford Grammar School from the age of eight. [1] Feutrill graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Law in 1996. and attained a Masters of Laws from the University of Western Australia in 2007.[2]

Feutrill began his career as a barrister and solicitor in 1997 before joining the Western Australian independent bar in 2002 he practicing solely as a barrister in commercial litigation and arbitration.[2]
Feutrill was appointed Senior Counsel in 2018.[2] Feutrill is an honorary fellow of the University of Western Australia Law School where he teaches International Commercial Arbitration and has also taught International Investment in Mineral Resources.[2]
