Melanie Ward is a British politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Cowdenbeath and Kirkcaldy since 2024. Having previously contested the seat of Glenrothes in 2015. A member of the Labour Party, she took the seat from the Alba Party.[1] Formerly CEO of Medical Aid for Palestinians, she was chosen for Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in health in 2024.[2][3][4][5] Ward stepped down following her election.[6][7]
