PlotEdit

Set after the events of Kung Fu Panda 3, the series follows Po the panda on a fresh adventure featuring four panda kids (Nu Hai, Jing, Bao, and Fan Tong) who happen upon a mystical cave beneath the Panda Village. The panda kids accidentally absorb the chi of ancient and powerful Kung Fu warriors known as the Four Constellations: Blue Dragon, Black Tortoise, White Tiger, and Red Phoenix—each of which represents the core weakness of its user. They realize they are now destined to save the world from an evil force (Jindiao), who wishes to take over the world, landing Po with his biggest challenge yet—teaching this ragtag band of kids how to wield their newfound Kung Fu powers.

Possibly staged a few years after the events on Kung Fu Panda 3, Nu-Hai, Jing, Bao, and Fan-Tong are in deep trouble knocking over the Sacred Peach Statue, was to be blessed by Po, now the Dragon Master, at the annual Peach Blossom Festival. Determined to make it up to the villagers, Nu-Hai sets herself, and a reluctant Jing, Bao, and Fan-Tong to the task of returning the Sacred Peach Statue. As they are trying to push the Peach Statue onto the lift, it rolls down, and the Statue, along with Nu-Hai, Jing, Bao, and Fan-Tong roll down into a cave, soon identified by Nu-Hai as 'The Temple of The Four Constellations.'. There are four pedestals, each with a giant statue. Bao touches a pedestal to annoy Nu-Hai, and the room is alight by the qi emitting from the statues, the qi going at the pandas. Nu-Hai, Jing, Bao, and Fan-Tong run out of the cave screaming. Unknown to them, they are seen by an unnamed Chinese water deer. In the next scene, we see all of the four slam themselves into Nu-Hai and Bao's room, Nu-Hai freaking out over what just happened. In the meantime, we see the unnamed water deer reporting her apparent failure to find the Temple of the Four Constellations before Nu-Hai, Jing, Bao, and Fan-Tong found the cave, to another Chinese water deer named 'Jade Tusk'. She says that she is not the one she should apologize to for her failure. The unnamed deer look in front in fear at her real master's back. The master orders Jade Tusk to kill the monk. Jade Tusk says that the children know how to open the cave. Her master allows Jade Tusk to get the children. In the next scene, we see the four in the library asking Grandma who the Four Constellations were. Grandma explains that a thousand years ago, the Four Constellations were guardians of a sacred wellspring, but a dark qi master wanted all that power to himself. The Four Constellations stopped him from doing so, but to protect the Qi Wellspring from 'those with evil ambitions' in the last place anyone would look, hoping their successors would continue on their legacy, but when Grandma looks up, the panda children are gone. Soon we see The Four running towards Po, trying to explain what happened at the Temple, and asking Po to teach them kung fu. Po declines, but when the kids keep pressuring him, he tries to run, and instead, he gets hit by a door and faints. Po wakes standing up to looking at a qi-holographic Oogway, telling Po that the universe has chosen Po to teach our Four, or else they will die. We see Nu-Hai, Jing, Bao, and Fan-Tong running through the night, their goal to convince Po to teach them Kung Fu before he leaves, but is soon captured by the Poison Clan. Jade Tusk askes them to open the Temple, and is about to torture them into doing so, Po arrives and a battle breaks out, Po bangs his head, the monks are about to take him when a qi blast has been emitted from the four panda kids. Now believing them, Po agrees to teach them kung fu.
