Kendujhar is a town with municipality in Kendujhar District in the Indian state of Odisha. It is the administrative headquarters of the Kendujhar district, and it is one of the 5th scheduled areas of Odisha.

BY ROAD:- Kendujhar town is well Connected by rest of odisha by regular Bus Services (Both Pvt. and Govt.) Via NH-20 and NH-49 to major cities like Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Kolkata.

BY RAIL:- Kendujhargarh Railway station which is within the town is a major Railway station in Odisha. Daily train to Cities like Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri and weekly train to Cities like Visakhapatnam, Jamsedpur which connect Kendujhar with rest of India.

BY AIR:- Nearest airport is Bijupattnaik International airport in Bhubaneswar which is 230KM from thetown.

Raisuan Airstrip which is 5 KM from town is only for emergency.

Abhiram Naik of BJD is the current MLA from Keonjhar assembly constituency. Mohan Charan Majhi won assembly elections in both 2004 and 2000. Earlier MLAs from this seat were Jogendra Naik of BJP (1995), C. Majhi of JD (1990), Chhotaray Majhi of JNP (1985), Jogendra Naik of INC(I) in 1980 and Kumar Majhi of JNP (1977).[1]

Present MP from Keonjhar (Lok Sabha constituency) is Sakuntala Laguri of BJD.
