K. Armstrong (கி. ஆம்ஸ்ட்ராங், January 31, 1977July 5, 2024) was the Tamil Nadu wing of the Bahujan Samaj Party He is a former state president. He was assassinated at his doorstep on July 5, 2024.[1][2] his murder shocked Tamil Nadu politics which triggered demand justice for K.Armstrong's death as questions on ongoing violence against Dalits.

Political Career

He started his political career in 2000 by joining the Pratchii Bharatham Party. In 2006 Dr Bhimrao started Dalit Association. In 2006, he contested the Chennai Municipal Corporation elections and was selected as a member of the 99th Constituency.he joined Bahujan Samaj Party in 2007. In the 2011 assembly elections, he contested on behalf of the Bahujan Samaj Party from the Kolathur constituency and lost.[3] He was the state president of Bahujan Samaj Party for 17 years from 2007 till his death.[4]

Murder

On July 5, 2024, Armstong was attacked and killed by a group of six people near his home, which was under construction, at his death, Amrstong had wife and daughter.

His murder shocked across Tamil Nadu over caste political violence against Dalits. His friend, film director P.Rajnith demand justice [5][6]
