Founded in 2010, by Sarvesh Agrawal[1], an IIT Madras alumnus, Internshala is a career-tech platform helping students skill themselves.

Internshala is a dot com business with the heart of dot org. It is a technology company on a mission to equip students with relevant skills & practical exposure through internships and trainings.

Internshala's offerings include Placement Guarantee Courses, ensuring students acquire the vital skills demanded by current competitive job market. These courses are complemented by short-term online trainings meticulously crafted to address specific skill gaps and industry requirements.

Furthermore, Internshala plays a pivotal role in guiding students through their first steps into the professional realm by facilitating internships and fresher job opportunities. This hands-on experience is invaluable, providing students with the real-world exposure necessary for a successful career launch.

The platform, which was founded in 2010,[2] started out as a WordPress blog[3][4] that aggregated internships across India and articles on education, technology and skill gap.[citation needed] Internshala launched its online trainings[5] in 2014.[citation needed] As of 2018, the platform had 3.5 million students and 80,000 companies.[6]

Partnerships edit

In August 2016, Telangana's not-for-profit organisation, Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) partnered with Internshala to help students with internship resources and career services.[7]

In September 2016, Team Indus, Google XPRIZE shortlisted entity has partnered with Internshala for college outreach for its initiative, Lab2Moon.[8]

Awards and recognition edit

In 2011, the website became a part of NASSCOM 10K Startups.[9] In 2015, Internshala was a finalist in People Matters TechHR 2015 Spotlight Awards under 'Futurism in Recruitment' category.[10]
