On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 100% of 23 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 8.20/10.[7] Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 80 out of 100, based on seven critics, indicating "generally favorable" reviews.[8]
Reviews for His Three Daughters have generally been positive, with Vanity Fair calling the film "a marvelous showcase",[5] and The Hollywood Reporter lauding the three actresses’ performance as "exceptional".[1]
