Hexathele wiltoni is a species of trapdoor spider endemic to New Zealand.[1]

Taxonomy
editThis species was described in 1968 by Ray Forster from female specimens collected in the Wairarapa and Gisbourne regions. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.[1]
Description
editThe female is recorded at 20mm in length. The carapace is creamy yellow. The abdomen is yellowish with a strong chevron pattern dorsally.[1]
Distribution
editThis species is only known from the Wairarapa and Gisbourne regions of New Zealand.[1]
Conservation status
editUnder the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size" and "Data Poor: Trend".[2]
