History

Har Tzeon Agudath Achim was founded in 1948, initially as two separate congregations: Har Tzeon and Agudath Achim. These two congregations merged in 1961 to form what is now known as Har Tzeon Agudath Achim.[1]

HTAA offers a variety of services and programs to meet the spiritual, educational, and social needs of its members. The synagogue provides daily minyanim, Shabbat and holiday services, and a range of adult education classes. It also hosts cultural events, youth programs, and social action initiatives.[2]

In September 2017, Congressman Jamie Raskin visited Har Tzeon Agudath Achim to share how his Jewish identity has influenced his life and career. During the event, Raskin discussed the importance of Jewish values in his public service and the impact of his heritage on his political and personal philosophy. This event was part of a series of community engagements aimed at highlighting the role of Jewish identity in various aspects of life.[4]
