Gordon Richard Britton (born 10 September 1939) is a Welsh former international rugby union player.[1]

Born in Risca, Monmouthshire, Britton was educated at Pontymister Secondary School and spent most of his career with Newport, which he joined in 1959 from hometown club Risca RFC.[2]
Britton gained a Wales cap as a centre against Scotland at Murrayfield in the 1961 Five Nations.[3]
In 1966, Britton played for Newport against the touring Wallabies and late in the match suffered a head knock after being tackled by three Australian players. He had to be given mouth-to-mouth on the pitch by the Newport club doctor due to breathing difficulties and went to hospital with concussion.[4]
