It won a majority of seats in the Regional Council and Stavros Arnaoutakis was elected Regional Governor for the first time. Then in the 2014 regional elections, it won a plurality of votes in the first round and Arnaoutakis defeated New Democracy's candidate in the second round,[4] thus securing a second term as Regional Governor. In 2019, the association was renamed Crete - Our Life and secured a win from the first round.[5] For the 2023 elections, the association adopted its current name, For our Crete and won a majority of votes from the first round, resulting in Arnaoutakis' fourth Regional Governor term.[6]
