Source/s for the map

Hi, TarzanASG. Could you please indicate the sources you used for the pre-1936 borders? It would be useful to be able to verify the accuracy as you've now added it to a few Soviet Russia related articles.

It is obvious fact without sources. The Soviet Union was formed by the Russian, Ukrainian, Belarus and Transcaucasion republics. The Kazak Autonomous Socialist Soviet Republic, the Kirghiz Autonomous Socialist Soviet Republic, the Karakalpak Autonomous Oblast/Karakalpak Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and other republics was a part of the RSFSR before coming into effect of 1936 Stalin's constitution. It is necessary to translate the article about history of territorial divisions of the RSFSR into English. Please revert your edit. --TarzanASG (talk) 10:02, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

I'll check through the Russian Wikipedia article you've used as the source and see whether I can find a couple of solid references (as they don't need to be in the English language). Inaccurate

The Tajik, Turkmen, and Uzbek Republics are not shown as separate republics. Instead they are shown as still being part of Russia proper, which shouldn't be the case in 1936.

Since the three republics mention above had already been created in 1929, and 1924 (the latter two), respectively. TRAJAN 117 (talk) 15:25, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

In which case, the map simply doesn't add up to having been sourced properly (in fact it cites no sources at all)... therefore should be fixed with an appropriate list of sources or deleted. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 00:30, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
