Middlesbrough spelling

edit

It's an old chestnut. Everyone can spell Leicester and London (not Lester and Lundan), but nobody thinks to check the spelling of Middlesbrough. In fact, a lot of people think that their spelling is correct. Well, your - otherwise perfect - map has got it wrong and it's really not acceptable.

Midd-les-brough ...

Middlesbrough (/ˈmɪdəlzbrə/ MID-əlz-brə) is a large town situated on the south bank of the River Tees in North East England, that sits within the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire. The local authority is Middlesbrough Borough Council.

Could you please put it right? Francis Hannaway (talk)Francis Hannaway 20:49, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have now edited the file myself - hope that's OK. It took a few tries because Wikipedia was having problems updating image files ... I didn't realise so uploaded the edited version more than once. Francis Hannaway 23:12, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
