Disputing CSD edit

Per the message left on User talk:TheDoctorWho I'm supposed to leave a more detailed response as to why this photo shouldn't be deleted but I think my original response covers it all, for the purposes of that I'm just placing a copy of it here Although there are independent photos of all the cast members the purpose of this photo in the article is meant to illustrate the entirety of the cast. There are no other photos free or non-free that illustrate such (i.e. a free photo of all cast members together) as independent photos of each cast member would not illustrate the entirety of the cast. Therefore the photo is not replaceable. TheDoctorWho (talk) 00:58, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Whpq and TheDoctorWho: I went back and updated the FUR for the image explaining why it falls under fair use criteria. Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 02:22, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Whpq With the updated FUR that explains why this image can't be replaced can the deletion tag be removed? Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 03:07, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@TheDoctorWho and Alucard 16: - I don't think changing the NFUR has done anything to really address the fact that all of these cast members are living people, and the entire cast photo fails to meet our non-free content guidelines. If you wish, we can take this to FFD. Let me know. -- Whpq (talk) 13:57, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Whpq: Generally photos of living people are not accepted for infoboxes in articles about the subject in question. Outside of that there are exceptions. For example an album cover that features a photo of the artist in the cover or a photo of character(s) are usually excepted. I believe that this is one of those exceptions and that it has been clearly illustrated why. TheDoctorWho (talk) 20:10, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think the image could be resized smaller which a bot will automatically do however I do think it is relevant to the article it will be used in and the NFUR is valid for the image. The image is not from AP, Corbis or Getty Images either according to this. (To view copyright info hover mouse over the image preview without registration.) Another option is screenshots from the first episode but this will be two screenshots since the houseguests entered in two separate groups. --Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 08:14, 23 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

I have declined the deletion of this image for two reasons. First, per WP:NFLISTS. While the article in question is not a list article, nor does it pertain to characters from a work of fiction, the scope of the aforementioned subsection is not limited to these characteristics. Second, these cast shots are utilized in all of the articles about this series, stretching back to the first season. A centralized discussion involving all of these image at WP:FFD should determine whether or not these types of shots violate the WP:NFCC policy. xplicit 05:51, 25 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Explicit: Its not just Big Brother (U.S. TV series) that have these kind of images other reality shows like Survivor (U.S. TV series) has them (see Survivor: San Juan del Sur). So there are more images like this out there than just the Big Brother cast images. Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 07:44, 25 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
