My last submission edit

This is my last submission. The translation layer which now supports over 20K Windows titles under Linux is not "noteworthy"? A software title which made Linux a worthy gaming platform? Something which is sponsored and used by Valve Corporation to enable gaming on Steam Deck? OK, then, screw it! It's not my bloody issue that "esteemed" media doesn't want to write about it. Could be that https://gwern.net/inclusionism is rearing its ugly head again and again. Artem S. Tashkinov (talk) 15:06, 28 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hey there Artem, over my 1.5 years and over 8000 edits of Wikipedia editing, I think I have only ever created like two articles. The rather complicated and difficult to grasp notability guidelines are the reason why I'm reluctant to create an article. Though it's worth noting that auto-confirmed editors like us can just publish articles directly rather than having to create them through drafts and using the AfC process. The worst that can happen is the article gets speedily deleted, but the article would have to have a very serious problem (like being an attack page or a 100% advertising page) for it to be speedily deleted. From what I've seen, most subpar article creations just receive a bunch of cleanup tags (e.g. "more citations needed" at top of page), sometimes a reviewer may move the article into draftspace. New articles are hardly ever sent to AfD, it only happens when the article's stuck around for a long time (i.e. a year or more) with the issues (not enough citations, notability etc) still unchanged. — AP 499D25 (talk) 04:42, 30 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
In the past I could create articles directly without them being marked as "Draft". No idea what has changed - my account hasn't. Anyways, I've given up on this draft. WP was first about knowledge, now it's more about esteemed sources/citations/quotations. I'm not interested in this. Artem S. Tashkinov (talk) 21:38, 30 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
